RAG - Raising and Giving for charity




WELCOME TO RAG! We're here to ‘Raise and Give’! University of Portsmouth Raising and Giving (RAG) is a volunteer run service whose aim is to organise enjoyable fund-raising events with all profitable benefits being given to three chosen charities. We help by organising events such as sky-diving, paintballing and our famous raids! Not only do we aim to help worthy causes, but also to have fun doing it with crazy fancy dress and a friendly social team. RAG aims to raise as much money as possible for its chosen charities by organising events that any student can take part in. One of the greatest things about RAG is that you are doing a good deed whilst having an awesome time. Basically, we raise money and give it away (to charity obviously, not just anyone!) 2011/12 is going to be huge for Pompey RAG as we aim to smash last year's record breaking fundraising efforts - last year we raised over £25,000, and this year we're looking to hit £40,000! Every student is automatically a member of RAG for free! We know that some of you might want to get involved more or less than others so theres a few options for you: 1. Come to RAG Events or Raids and have a great time doing something good. 2. Join the RAG Mailing List so you don’t miss out on anything. 3. Organise your own outRAGeous charity event. 4. Get your club, society or mates to organise a charity event. 5.
