The University of Portsmouth Destroyers have steadily improved since joining the British University American Football League (BUAFL) in 2006. The 2008/2009 season saw the Destroyers top of Conference 4 South with a record of 4-1 over the first 5 games. However two tough losses following the Christmas break by a mere combined 7 points hampered the push for playoff football as the final season record ended 4-4.

With a new kit, new logo and one of the best coaching set ups in the UK, the Destroyers 2009/10 season is NOT TO BE MISSED. The Destroyers are looking for new players to help them to FINISH the season strong, no matter what your skill set American football has a position suited for it!

Not only are we looking to recruit players for the forthcoming season, we are also looking to recruit photographers, Video Assistants, Web Designer, Statitions and game day staff.
