Only a week left of term time!

Following my first two posts, I've taken some advice on this blog - "Don't be so boring!"

I'm going to try to include some good video / photos of the good stuff that we've been up to. Below you'll see the vid from our AU dinner (hopefully...)

In other sports news, we've very nearly finished all of the AU club budget meetings  - all 35 of them! It's not the sort of thing that I'd normally be involved in, but given that we've changed the funding system - and I know that previous changes have been clumsy - I thought that it was important that I got to see the process for myself. I must say that I have been really impressed with the sports committees - the dedication of these students keeps the clubs running and without such dedication we wouldn't reach the thousands of students that we do.

Unfortunatly, i don't have any pics to attach, although we've been taking lots of photos this week. As a part of our plan to make it easier for students to participate in our activities we're taking photos of all student facing staff and putting them up around the Student Centre and Gun House. I'm not sure if they'll be up before the end of next week, but watch this space!

Grad ball is only a few weeks away! We're still waiting for final confirmation of capacity from the authorities, but we're a bit worried that it won't be enough. We've sold 1,800 and capacity will be between 2,000 and 2,500. I think we'll need to start thinking about a bigger venue / setup for next year!
