Hey guys, We had a warning that came through this morning about e-mails pretending to be from the Student loans company in order to get students details......... IMPORTANT: Fraudulent e-mails requesting students' details The Student Loans Company has issued an alert after students reported receiving e-mails claiming to be from the Student Loans Company, and requesting students' personal information. Some students have received e mails requesting their personal details, in which a replica of the "studentfinancedirect" webpage instructs them to enter information. The student e-mail addresses that have been used, ends ".ac.uk". DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES RESPOND TO ANY E MAIL ASKING YOU TO CONFIRM YOUR PERSONAL STUDENT LOAN DETAILS If you think you may have responded to such an e-mail request contact the Student Loans Company helpline on 0800 40 50 10 for guidance as soon as possible. The University of Portsmouth has been advised that so far, no-one has been affected by this scam. Please be cautious when responding to e-mails requesting your personal details and if you have any concerns contact the Student Finance Centre.
