Been very busy in the last few weeks. I attended the University of Portsmouth ABC v Allcomers a few weeks ago (still need to sort out the photos!) I helped the boxing club get photo's for their award dinner, Societies Carnival was a huge success and I still haven't got all the pictures sorted. More recently I have actually done some uni work so the media stuff I am involved in has taken a back seat slightly. The last edition of Pugwash News will be out shortly and its worth taking home with you for a read. The last issue of Pugwash will be out as well. The web will get a lot of content added in the last few weeks of term. We will be getting all the content from the last few issues and from the magazine up starting next Tuesday. Current members of the web team and people wanting to get involved should contact webeditor@upsu.net. We are really interested in people staying in Portsmouth over the summer as this is when we will be getting the content up so if you want to get involved with the web team next year and you are staying in Portsmouth over the summer get in touch and we will train you and you will be very experienced before the new year even starts! Good luck in your exams everyone. Luke Simmonds Web Editor 07/08

The results of the 2008 elections are in. My friend and the guy I spent a long time campaigning for has won. Steve Topazio has won Education and Representation. A strong campaign led to this victory. Well done to Tom for getting MAPO - Your the best man for the job Also well done to Caz Bird for getting Student Support your campaign was very active, Jaffa for running a good presidential campaign. Ella for winning SADO. and Darbs for being reelected as sports officer. I spent the morning campaigning for steve and spent the afternoon resting in the sabb office before going out with a camera and taking pictures @ the elections. Commiserations to those who didn't get in, particularly Jenny, Ben and Sarah. Have a good easter
We were just sitting in the office going through our article tracking forms and Jacob the News Editor gets a phone call from Tom Worman our Design editor and Photographer informing us that there were lots of Fire Engines on Guildhall Walk. Jacob run out of the door closely followed by myself Tallie and our MAPO Alex Harries. When we got to the "Fire" we found out it was a training exercise but it was still interesting to watch. Taking photos of Fire engines is really hard because of the reflexive strips the flash makes them extra bright. The way round it I found out was to change the ISO on the camera and use no flash the added disadvantage was I had to keep the camera very still . See a related news report on UPSU for better pics by Alex.
This was one of my best ones it was a little dark so a bit of fiddling in photoshop made it better if a little grainy.
