A bit about me
'Ello! I'm Alex, and I'm one of the mysterious and slightly-shady figures know as "Sabbatical Officers" - my job title is something like Media Whore, and I divide my time equally between upsetting students, annoying staff members, tweaking the UPSU.net website, driving Pure FM's committee up the wall, cracking the whip with Pugwash magazine (not that anyone listens to me, thankfully!) and working on our newest addition, Pugwash News newspaper.
Before this year, I worked part-time for UPSU for almost 5 years while a Pompey student, doing a little bit of everything from pint-pulling, sound engineering, DJing, pushing boxes around, and - for the last two of the five years - building and running the UPSU.net website.
As I write this in March 2008, I will be a Sabbatical officer here for another few months - until July 31st - and then the plan is to get the hell out of Portsmouth as quickly as possible! It's not that I particularly dislike the place; it's just that I miss my home-city of London and want to get back there before I hit 30 :o)
