Matthew Thorogood

Sports Officer

Introducing Matt Thorogood, the bad and the ugly.

Currently studying Engineering Geology and Geotechnics in my final year. Enjoying life and competing for our union whenever not injured or inebriated it would be irresponsible to play sport after alcohol (Said with stern look on face).

Why vote Matt Thorogood:

  • I’m a simple chap.
  • Country lad that works hard.
  • Listens to what you want.
  • Then goes out and gets it for you, remember we are Portsmouth and there is nobody we cant beat, when we turn up the heat, because we know we are the best team in the land.
  • Proactive won’t run away from challenges that are thrown my way.
  • Will do best thing for our AU.
  • Do what ever is required for the best of our AU
  • I want to be your sports officer representing you and fight the corner for you my fellow Pompeians.
  • I’ve been looked after well by the union now its time to look after you.
  • In my time at uni I’ve had a colourful experience sat on both sides of the fence when winning or losing also at disciplinary’s, as sports officer I’d play my part in seeing your fair representation.

What Thorogood will do for Portsmouth Athletic Union?

  • Pompey sports promoted as events spectators will want to be at fixtures build fan bases for our clubs.
  • Show appreciation to our teams for improving our AU’s image and success, make Pompey bigger winners.
  • Cross club events, bringing together teams and improving ourselves as a union.
  • Purple Wednesdays will grow and grow, they will make legends and raise people to heights which they never may have thought they may achieve, they will also have there say for the forces of evil lets bring on the pain POMPEY TILL I DIE... HOW ABOUT YOU?
