We are trialling the inclusion of Google's AdSense program on UPSU.net.

This allows us to display adverts from advertisers whose target market reflects the Union's main customer base, i.e. the students who use this website.

While Google selects which advertisers display on which page, we can and do prevent adverts from certain companies and types of advertisers from being shown. 

If you see an advert which you don't think is suitable or appropriate, or an advert is shown which you think conflicts with another paying advertiser on UPSU.net, please let us know via the "contact us" link on the right.

The future

If this trial run is successful, we will aim to introduce non-intrusive, targeted marketing across the whole of the UPSU.net website in the future.

However, we will not - and never will - change our privacy policy with regards to unsolicited ("junk") mail, and we promise not to introduce intrusive adverts, popup advertising, or any other form of advert which reduces the appearance of our web pages or negatively affects your visits to UPSU.net - at the end of the day, we are a Students' Union, and this website is here to help you find the information you need; not to sell things to you!

Dealing with problems 

Although some web browsers may have problems displaying these adverts, the system has been tested with the majority of web browsers and should work fine.
