EUROPEAN UNION STUDENTS’ OFFICER

Hi I’m Povilas from Lithuania and I am running to be your European Union Students’ Officer. In 2010 I was elected as a chairman of the Committee of events in my high school. That provided me with the opportunity to prove everyone that I am good at organising various events and I am not afraid of taking responsibility so I would like to continue my extra curriculum activities and give something useful to the student union.  

If you elect me as European Union Students’ Officer I will:
• Work closely with societies to improve communication between them.
• Organise sport day where societies will compete against each other (different types of sport)   
• Organise big social event (all societies included)
• Communicate with societies and help them to solve different  problems
• Create the communications between students and their native countries in order to increase popularity of University of Portsmouth amongst them
