Hi everyone, I ‘m Nkemotoh and I am running to be your international students officer. I have worked for three years as a student adviser at the French and British Cultural centers, hold a silver medal in debate and public speaking celebrated all over the continent of Africa following the last pan African universities debate championship. I have also worked in a close range with the UNESCO and NGOs like the Dr Luther king’s foundation. I was the deputy student union president in my formal university and the secretary general of my national debate association. I was able to increse membership in my activities considerably and to get even more experienced in the management of people and their problems.

If you elect me as your international students’ officer, I will work closely with the student union to ensure that your most challenging queries are given a solution to, and you get advised on steps to follow for  a satisfactory answer.

I will equally work towards the enhancement and respect for ideologies, diversities in cultures and beliefs, so as to achieve a veritable integration in to this society where most of us are still new to. And above all;

I will also dedicate time to organize workshops on better techniques of learning or understanding the English language as a second language, which as of now stands as a real barrier to the utmost performance of most of our international students.

I am equally as good in the French language as I am good in English. Students from  France and French speaking African countries , Asia, Latin America and other continents in the world would have my undivided attention to help resolve their language difficulties here in the university of Portsmouth.
