An exposé documentary about the Coca Cola company by Mark Thomas, who you might also know from such productions as The Mark Thomas Product, is being aired on Channel 4 this Monday 19th November at 8pm - more info here.
Ok, so it conflicts with Eastenders, but you can always catch the Eastenders repeat at 10pm on BBC 3, so you've got no excuses not to watch it, and watching it might help to shed some light on the reason why the Union is working to find a more ethical alternative to Coca Cola for the Union's bars.

This should be good - I've met a Columbian worker who tried to set up a Union is the Coke factory he worked in - his family was threatened and had to go into hiding. Likewise, I've heard first hand accounts from farmers in India whos water supply has been depleted and poisoned after Coke set up a bottling plant near their village.
Also, Fanta (made by Coke) was originally designed as the official drink of the Third Riech - For some reason they don't display the old wartime posters of Nazis drinking it!
