Hey,
Im hopefully gonna be living on my own next yr but have no idea how much its gonna cost me! Im living with 3 others at the mo and the bills have all been really varied so i dont really know how to estimate it!
If anyone is living on their own at the mo can they give me a rough idea of how much their monthly utility bills are ie. gas, electricy, phone etc. so i can work out how much i can afford rent wise!!!
Thanks

Alaina, any idea where's a good place to find single person flats?
Not sharing a house next year sounds like a good way to get some much needed peace 'n quiet!

student housing list?
I heard there are some good flats in Southsea but I think most of the places are like £90-125 a week so it can get pretty expensive.
That's not incl bills |

Alex,
Ive been looking for AGES now. The best place ive found is to go on www.rightmove.co.uk cos it searches loads of different estate agents or get the local property paper (think its out on a tues or thurs, but not 100% sure). Prices are really varied and it seems that the majority of flats are unfurnished so ebay here i come!!! I think its a case of going down Albert Road and just popping in to the estate agents down there cos a lot of them dont have websites, eg Devonshire Estates and Austin Bond.
Just a question of finding out how much i can afford now but im looking forward to the peace and not having to worry about cleaning up after everyone else, lol! |

Ahhh, how I would love to be living by myself again next year!
I've been lucky enough to get myself a one-bedroom flat in James Watson this year, for £400 a month all-in. It's bigger than I was expecting, but probably not the sort of size flat that you might be looking at.
I have no idea how quickly they go, but if you're willing to consider living in halls, then it might be worth talking to student housing. |

I have been looking at flats with one to two bedrooms. On average most of the one bedroom flats are in excess of £300 a month excluding bills. As for internet and such like virgin media do a package phone line and 2mb unlimited broadband for £25. good luck. |
