Find out about the impact of climate change and how you can lead a greener life style at Portsmouth’s first Climate Festival at the University on April 19th


A joint effort between People & Planet, the University Student Union, and the Portsmouth Climate Action Network, the event will have activities, fun and inspiration for all ages. A wide range of music and entertainment will take place throughout the day From 11am to 4 pm:

Music, Attractions, Green Motor Show, Eco-gifts, Fully Licensed Bar, Competitions, Performers, Films, Workshops, Talks, Children’s activities, Live bands, Money saving, Recycled art, Campaign Groups, Face painting and much more....

These are the organizations which will have stalls at the Climate Festival:

Veggie Power, Organic Power, Style and the City, Groundworks, Hampshire against Fluoridation, Zippy Bikes, PCC Waste management, Vandamamu, Viva, October Books, Tearcraft, Beanies’ Health Foods, Footprint Friends, Lodge Arts Centre, Permaculture Magazine, Radical Art group, Energy Efficiency Advice Centre, Albert Road Traders, Rapanui, Green Party, British Trust for Conservation Volunteers, Greener Living, SARC, Portsmouth Peace Council, Friends of the Earth, Portsmouth Renewables, Christian Aid, Bike Bins, Sust SouthC, Southern Coops, SOS Lynx/Uncorked, Sunpowered, Schnews, Portsmouth Climate Action Network, I wanna be adorned, World Development Movement, Greenpeace, Portsmouth Fairtrade Forum, Traidcraft, Oxfam, People & Planet, CND, SGI Buddhist group, PCC - Road Safety, Volunteering in Portsmouth, Cuba Solidarity Campaign and Twine and Design.


Entertainment: Musicians, drummers - a programme all day plus a launch event on Friday 18th at the Fawcett Inn with the Autons
