Hi Lou,
Like anything new with the Union, they'll probably continue it if it's a success.
Bar FTSE is basically... (from the Cardiff SU website) Prices ... will rise and fall depending on what drinks are being purchased at the time; if Carling sales are high, then the price of Stella may drop, or if more Jack Daniels is drunk than Vodka, the price of Vodka will fall.
There are occasions when global Bar Markets change within the Union, resulting in, for example, Reef hitting a high price, and the price of VK bottles dropping to a low.
That sounds like a wicked idea. Heard of summin like that b4 at friends uni's. Will spread the word amongst my friends and hopefully this will be a step in the right direction for the Union.
One thing tho, will it just be in Waterhole, or will upstairs be open? Also, will there be a time limit, or will it go on all night? So many questions....
intresting, though will we know the difference between the currently expensive drinks and the not so ... ? - or just the unlucky bar staff ? *pinch* Stops fantasizing about the posibility of fun - back to the revision.

I do not envy the staff, unless there is some sophisticated tracking system that we have "appropriated" off NASA or someone to track whats high n whats low
Then again it might just be a bloke with a whiteboard and a marker writing down the prices every 30 seconds :

hahaha how will they ever coordinate between selling points, sure someone would nick it (or at least try) if they tried that option too.
The union really needs more senseless chaos to be successful. Confusing me which drink to buy might just make me crazy, especially if the prices jump a foot before i get my vodka.
if its any good, they should have hired out some boards or at least got a system link between tv's and tills, i will not be impressed if its a half assed attempt (i.e. whiteboard, staff not caring)
i thought it was pretty sweet -- especially when i got my 4 pints of snakebite for 99p each, and by the time i was on the 3rd the price had rised to £2.30!
was nicely done (minor the glitch) and got a fair few peeps in he waterhole for a tues night!
Glad it was a good night had by all, remarkably the staff say they really enjoyed it too and are looking forward to the next one on Tuesday 27th, might see if I can come.
