British University and College Sport
British University and College Sport is the new organisation that University sport at a national level. The new organisation has come about by merging the British University Sports Association (BUSA) and University and College Sport (UCS). The University league structure and final points table are run and organised by BUCS in which we have over 60 teams compete which doesn’t include the athletes that take part in the individual championships. Incidentally the University of Portsmouth is ranked 36th out of 151 institutions, a rise of 23 places in the last two years. We have a fine sporting tradition and the potential for further success is huge, long may the improvements continue.
