The University of Portsmouth Athletics Team is a friendly, welcoming club that receives all levels of athletes. Whether you’re a county champion or looking to get fit, we will have something to offer you for what your needs suit. 

The team meets regularly throughout the week for training sessions including indoor circuits and outside track training. We also offer unique opportunities for further training such as runs along the sea-front, sessions over cross-country, steps-sessions and road runs that make full use of the natural landscape that the city of Portsmouth has to offer.

The team enters into regular competitions throughout the year peaking at the BUSA events where you can represent the University of Portsmouth nationally against other universities. We also participate in cross-country, road races and track and field meetings and are also open to any suggestions of events from any of our members. 

The club is also one of the best value for money clubs at the University of Portsmouth, charging one of the lowest membership fees of the clubs and societies within the Athletic Union, so we recommend that you should come to one of our training sessions and join in.

The club also holds regular social events that are not worth missing holding traditional and unique themed events they are the perfect opportunity to get to know get to know your team better in a relaxed environment.
