Student life is hard, and this needs to be recognised. The welfare officer will help us fight for equal rights for all students on a host of issues including minimum wage, working rights and health provision.
There are campaigns on free prescriptions for students and sexual health resources. The welfare representative will get the chance to sit on and raise student issues at the University's Student Support and Advice Committee.
