Who am I?
My name is RON, which stands for Re-Open Nominations. I’ve run in countless elections and once again I am here in the alternative transferable vote. I am still a mechanism of single transferable voting.
Why should you vote for me?
You should vote RON if you feel the other candidates are not up to the job.
However if you think that only one candidate is worth your vote then vote RON as your second choice. If there are two candidates that are worth your vote then vote RON for the third choice, and so on.
Good reasons to vote RON
- You don’t think any of the candidates will be good for the job
- You feel that only one candidate is suitable
- RON always keeps promises
Bad reasons to vote RON
- You think it would be funny
- You can’t be bothered to vote properly
- You want to protest against UPSU and all it stands for
- You are fed up with the elections
What RON can promise if he wins
- Nominations will be re-opened for that particular position.
- New candidates and those that ran previously will be able to run again.
