How meetings run

Most meetings in the Union follow the same basic plan otherwise they would be chaotic and would last forever. The basic structure can be seen through the general meeting and all the others run similar to that.

Order of Business

The order of business is the plan so everyone knows the line up before the start of the meeting.

  1. Introduction from the chair.
  2. Receive minutes of previous meeting.
  3. Matters and actions arising from those minutes.
  4. Formal amendments and motions.
  5. Receive reports from Trustees.
  6. Any other business.
  7. Official notices and announcements.
  8. Close of meeting.

Most meetings follow this basic procedure with only minor changes. If you want to find them they are to be located in the following places in the constitution.
