NUS Conference / How to take part
To take part in the NUS Conference, you must first be elected. Here's how to get started once you have decided you'd like to run:
- Download and complete the delegate nomination form from the document downloads page
- Burn a copy to CD, or save it to a USB flash drive
- Print a copy off
- Return both the printed and electronic copies to the CopyShop at the Union no later than 12pm midday on Monday 12th November 2007
- Attend the compulsory candidates' briefing (date to be confirmed - please see the elections timetable to find out when the meeting will take place)
- On the 26th November, collect your publicity from the Union's CopyShop and begin your campaign!
- Voting takes place on the 29th and 30th November, and results will be announced on the evening of the 30th November 2007
- If you have been successful in the elections, you will need to attend the NUS Conference training session (to be announced on the elections timetable shortly)
- Finally, on the 31st March 2008, rock up to the Union and jump in a bus with your other fellow delegates, and head on up to represent Portsmouth at the NUS Conference 2008!
