RAG Amsterdam Hitch Hike

90 people, 4 days, 300 miles, 1 campsite... RAG project's biggest fund-raiser yet!

Welcome to the RAG Hitch Hike homepage!

UPSU's RAG charity project is organising a sponsored hitch hike from Portsmouth to Amsterdam between Monday April 2nd and Friday April 6th 2007.

Over 90 people are taking part in the hitch, whose aim is to raise as much money for charity, and while it's too late for you to join up now, it's not too late to help sponsor a team.

Prizes are on offer for the team who raise the most money, best fancy dress, best hitching story, and the first, second and third groups to arrive at the campsite.

Essential documents and costs

If you're taking part in the hitch, you need to ensure you have paid your essential costs by Monday 26th April, 12pm.

There is also a collection of links to hitch hikers' Facebook groups, which they have set up to let you easily pledge money, and webpages and weblogs written by students who have taken part in similar hitch hikes from Universities across the country.

You MUST complete and return the following documents at your safety briefing, either on Monday 26th, Wednesday 28th or Friday 30th March.
