Creative Writing society
Hello! Welcome to the Creative Writing Society page. It's all a bit new here and we've only just got up and running, but we even have our own discussion forum! Cool right?
If you feel like submitting any work online, there'll be a post stickied in the forums you can add it to. Have fun writing!

Our meetings are every Monday from 6pm to 7pm at the Union (though we're in different rooms regularly so email us or leave a note on the forums if you're interested).
News for 14th May '08:
And the long silence between updates grows.
News this week includes that the elections went ahead (as mentioned in emails) and the new council members are:
Chris Burden, Cat Coles, Victoria Simmonds, and myself (Andy Tivey).
Hopefully the next year will see the society take off again, since in recent months things have sort of drifted slowly downhill. As far as I'm aware, there are no more planned meetings for the society, though the forum here and our new Facebook group (details below) will be active to an extent.
Finally, there is a Playwriting Competition being organized by Bench Theatre. Details are here:

News for 28th February '08:
Well, after about three weeks I finally got around to updating this page again. Woo!
This Monday's open mic night over at the Wiltshire building was a pretty good success, with a lot of writers (both in the society and not) read out some great work. The next open mic night is some time in May, or so I hear, and I should get a date for that closer to the time.
On top of that, we have a new calendar up! Well, it's more of a list really, but it's still there... or at least, a link should be there for it soon. The link will be on the right hand side in the little "Contact Us" menu.
This Monday's meeting will be a playwriting workshop with Chris and Tiff, so come ready with any specific questions about scripting and the like and remember to have fun! See you there.
~Andy
