Outline
STAND training is offered as a series of mix-and-match workshops, spread across four areas. While we anticipate most students will want to come to all the workshops in their particular area of interest, you're also more than welcome to pick and choose the workshops which interest you the most.
On this page you can find a listing of the individual workshops, and which training packages they form a part of. Further down the page is a summary of the four training courses on offer.

About the courses
STAND currently offers training in four areas - follow the links below to find out more about each area:
- Media training - features, news and sports journalism, interview skills, press releases and web training, which covers basic design principles and use of the UPSU.net website to create content,
- Campaign coordination - smashing apathy, campaign communication, lobbying local officials, "working the room", press releases, and campaigning for change,
- Society training - purpose of clubs and societies, running meetings, events & budgets, and being a rep,
- Train the trainer - teambuilding & learning styles, games in training, difficult trainers & fears, your session.
