The Annual NUS Conference
The NUS Annual Conference decides how the NUS will be run each year. Everyone who attends has the chance to influence these decisions; could you be one of the lucky few to represent Portsmouth students?

About the conference
The NUS annual conference is taking place in Blackpool on April 1st to 3rd 2008.
The Union will be sending twelve delegates to the 2008 conference; these delegates will be elected by the student population of Portsmouth in a cross-campus ballot.
If you would like to represent the needs of Portsmouth's students at a national level, one of the best ways to do this is to become a delegate at the NUS Conference. However, to become a delegate, you must first be elected.
Nominations open on the 29th October and close on the 12th November; campaigning will take place from the 26th November to 30th November; voting will be on the 29th and 30th November - find out more on the important dates page.
You can find out more about the conference here or, if you've decided you want to run in the delegate elections, download an application form from the documents pages, or pick one up from the copy shop in the Union.
Important: NUS Cards
You must have an NUS card to attend this event. Every student is entitled to an NUS card, and the NUS democracy card is free.
If you don't have one, you can register for one at upsu.net/registration.
