05/01/2007  22:55 (yes we're still here)

Whoopee! Page 1 is nearly done, Page 2 only needs a shiny new UPSU diary, page 3 is undergoing newsbite admittance, page 4 needs a comment (anyone got anything interesting to say?). Page 5 - We're waiting on the sabbs...as always. Page 6 is done! Wheee! Page 7 needs 1,000 words...and Jacob needs help. He's just got off on one. Page 8 - DONE! Page 9 - needs two donkeys....don't ask. Page 10 - DONE! Page 11 needs more gotchas...:) Page 12 is missing shiny pictures.

: So, we're on the right track to getting it done by tomorow.

Also. We've decided that Alex is the paper clip from microsoft Word.

Not the 6th jacob...

After being satiated with Pizza, we are know listening to the Jungle Book in Hindi, whilst figuring out exactly how much needs to be done...hmm...Which actually isnt as much as we thought. Sort of...

I wanna be like you-ooh-oooh!

Oh, and added to the food in the tin by a certain sub-editor we have a pizza, double choc chip cookie AND a pastry. Hmmmm.

T.K.

Wow we are an unhealthy bunch. Sat next to me is a bin containing just one of our sub-editors food in-take for this weekend:

1 Dark Terrys Chocolate Orange
1 Cheese and Onion Pasty
2 bags of Wheat Crunchies
2 Pots of Dairylea Dunkers
1 Pot of Philidelphia Splendips
1 Large tin of Cadbury Roses

And now, as a team, we are drinking spring water and eating M&Ms - ooo the delights of creating a newspaper!

Welcome to Day 2 of Pugwash News Live. It is only myself (Tom Worman) in the office this morning putting the paper together. Which in a way is kind of nice, I can get on without any distractions. Although I am still trying to find all the content that has been written.

Feel free to drop by the Sabbs office and say hello if you are bored!

So Tom has gone home and has been recently replaced by Paul, So everyone say "Hello" to Paul!

We are nearing the end of todays work and the ongoing debate is whether the pub is the course of action and how to get into your house when you have no keys.

So today has been turbulent, work has been done, computers didnt work, frantic phone calls made, me dropping the phone (sorry kash) and there is a UFO in the room next door. But a paper is coming together. Lots of very interesting content, new ideas stumbled upon, a raving lunatic in the room sounding like a parrot on speed and generally all the fun of the Union.

See you tomorrow huh?

This is Jacob saying goodnight and god bless

Well Tom just told me to write something, I've just been researching OBEs and trying for the life of me to work out how the NHS works. But thats a whole different story. It's reminded me today how much even the shortest News story takes to research. I have to double check sources, check the validity of something. Just because one person says something, however qualified they are I have to check and what your lecturers say about wikipedia not being good enough is doubly true in this field. I can hide somethings behind clever wording, but the amount of fact checking I do is incredible. I love google I do, it makes my life so much easier.

Anyway, Tallie is singing like a nun on acid and its really starting to bug me so I'm gonna go into a different room and try not to cry like a small boy.

Well this is lucky, due to Alex being generally quite amazing, (we don't say that enough) we have been able to negotiate security allowing us to remain in the office till bout 9pm. This means that we will actually be able to get some work done. Which is good!
Adam just crashed his wheelie chair into a wall, and for some reason I get the blame for the chairs in the office being broken.

I'm also gonna contest when people say I'm not doing any work. I am damn it, orangutans are very VERY important!

4/1/2008 16:05

We've decided we're excommunicating Adam because he's making us watch 'In the Night garden'. Therefore, he needs serious help and should not be here. Jacob is doing work now, and seems strangely engrossed by it. Good news, we actually have more than we thought :D

TK

 4/1/2008 15:55

Jacob has asked me if I'm actually doing anything. Im not. and he's not doing much more. To be honest Tom is the only one working properly.

I hate Ben. And Adam. They have now permanantly scarred me for life. I wonder what I do in this place...

TK

4/1/2008 15:43

We've now found out Adam used to be known as baloo...After a conversation about Chimp-related articles he he. I've also decided I like Darby a bit more because he's playing the Four Tops really loudly in the Sabb office. I've started to realise that perhaps my proposed literature column may be less than savoury...tsk!

TK

4/1/2008  15:24

Tallie's back in the room.

Hello! Currently I'm writing a few articles to fill up column inches, probably on stuff that wont be understood, and if it is, feel free to be my friend because no-one else is. I'm scouting for news content, trying to find something that isnt unnecessarily boring, terribly written or unoriginal. It's gone a bit quite...which means someones plotting something....hmm....

TK

4/1/2008 15:06

To clarify, the breast talk is about last issues sex and relationships column, at present I am struggling to find an image for Tiffany Lee's column. The topic is New Years Revolution - all ideas welcomed.

TW

4/1/2008 14:41

Breasts, the conversation has moved onto breasts and Adam has well and truly joined the team by begining to insult my love life, or lack of it.

JL

4/1/2008 14:28

Worman at work Adam has stolen my computer, Tom and me are disagreeing on what constitutes an image as opposed to a picture.

Oh and we have lost Tallie

But Alex is around

JL

4/1/2008 14:06

It appears that Tom (our design editor) does not have adequate security clearance to use google

JL

4/1/2008 13:28

Well, Issue 7 is upon us.
A small, elite and highly trained team are in the office putting the paper together. The team so far consists of :
Tom "the camera man" Worman
Tallie "the cliche" Kane
Jacob "the rabbit" Leverett

Adam "the wolf or shrew" Sunman

Also throught the wonderous world of the world wide web we have Laura "the battered mars bar" Wilson.

So far things are going slightly wrong. The computers are failing to run the software that we use to put the paper together, the biscuits are running low and security are going to be locking up soon.

Good Times

JL
