Students' Union to host FA Cup viewing and photograph opportunity on 10th May

The University of Portsmouth Students’ Union have agreed to play a major part in the planned visit of the FA Cup to Portsmouth on Saturday 10th May 2008 between 1pm and 5pm.

Following the fantastic achievement of Portsmouth FC reaching the FA cup final for the first time in over 60 years, the FA have agreed to allow the trophy to be exhibited in the city.

The Students’ Union have agreed to use their venue to allow Portsmouth residents to view the trophy and have their picture taken alongside it.

As part of the V.I.P (volunteering in Portsmouth) project, disabled children will be granted an exclusive first viewing and will be pictured with the trophy.

Portsmouth students and residents will be asked to make a donation of £3 to see the cup and be photographed alongside it. These pictures will then be made available for download from the Students’ Union’s website.

All profits will be donated to the charities selected by the Union’s R.A.G. Week organisers, one of which is the local Rowan’s Hospice.
