Another Thursday afternoon, another highly successful Societies' Takeover meeting!

Once again a dedicated team of students met up to discuss what is likely to be the biggest student-run Union event this year! A lot of hard work and time is being spent by a number of societies and individual students in order to make sure that this party goes with a swing! So far the following has been arranged:

In Lux – several live bands including our very own School of Rock and a local student band called City Safari as well as something very special indeed from our dance societies (Breakdance, Street Salsa and Latino Dance Cocktail)

In C02 – a variety of live DJs spinning a selection of banging tunes from hip-hop to indie/electro – there will be something for everyone!

In Via Lattea – a selection of chilled out acoustic performers will bring relaxing vibes whilst you indulge yourself in the wide range of cultural foods on offer

In the Function Rooms – a mass debate hosted by the brand new Politics Society concerning topics that are relevant to students as well as some fun ones in one room. And in the other…well it will be a feast of alternative societies showing you what they do – Not to be missed!!!

Tickets will be at the bargain price of £3 each and will be available from Ben Norman in the Sabb Office from Tuesday 22nd January 2008.

If you want to get involved in any way possible (media, marketing, performing, management) then simply get in touch – email Ben Norman your Student Activities & Development Officer on ben.norman@port.ac.uk or pop into the Sabb Office!!!

Remember…if societies did parties they’d probably be the best parties in the world – so don’t miss out!!!
