"Did you know all Mars products (Snickers, Bounty, Malteasers, Milky Way......) now contain animal stomachs?

"Mars products are very popular with young people and many will be shocked to discover that their manufacture now relies on the extraction of rennet from the stomach lining of young calves,"

What is the point? I bet they don't do a huge advertising campaign to make their customers aware of it!

I know its not much of a consolation, but at least people know about this - dealing with a food allergy severely cuts down the amount you can eat. Some of the chocolate bars affected also started containing malt extract and that wasn't covered in the media at all. Its taken ages for anyone to decide whether coeliacs can eat them or not and its still a sticky area in some people's opinion (pardon the pun!)
If only all places and companies would just admit what they put in their food, it would be much nicer and much easier to follow the student diet  For me its much nicer looking at a food and thinking "I can't eat that" than wondering whether I can eat it and if I am missing out n something unneccessarily.
Oh well, its back to packed lunches for me!
