and then you can find the ones like Anglia Ruskin do that is a formal event or the semi-famous Cambridge onees that incorporate fairground rides etc etc.

But in any case, the cost of most of these is normally over £100 for a ticket - it is worth it? In my humble opinion yes, as the morale benefits would be huge, although i can imagine that the main question would be as to would the event be able to break even.

In my view, the University and Union is too obsessed with making things revenue neutral or revenue positive (i.e. break even or make a profit). Surely that there are some events that should be run as revenue negative (i.e. make a loss) because of the benefits to the students.
