Who's playing at the Graduation Ball?

More than 50 performers making up 10 acts in 4 venues: how's that for a line-up?!

Headlining in Lux

  • The Cuban Brothers
Born of the loins of seventies Havana, nurtured on a diet of soulful, sexy tunes and inspired by Cuban historical fact and mythology – their fresh approach to live entertainment whips up a frenzy at every gig.
  • DJ Mark (Lux resident, Orange Fridays)
Despite not being born of Havana's loins, Mark can still entertain a crowd with his cheesy-but-fun blend of tuneage, on-stage antics, and dodgy dancing skills.

Headlining in CO2

  • The Scratch Perverts
Once again, the incredible Scratch perverts will be showing off their remarkable skills at this year's Ball, headlining in CO2 for a marathon mix session.
  • DJ Kev Ray (CO2 resident, Purple Wednesdays)
What Kev doesn't know about chart and dance music, frankly, isn't worth knowing. Join him in CO2 as he warms you up for the Scratch Perverts, then takes you on to the end of the night afterwards.

Down in the Waterhole

  • The School Of Rock
Back by popular demand, and covering everything from The Blues Brothers to the Arctic Monkeys and the Killers - don't miss the Union's very own homegrown talent show!
  • Soul Lounge
Live acoustic soul delivered soothingly to your ears. The Soul Lounge play a variety of styles and covers.
  • DJ DD
A welcome return for the Elder Statesman of Eclectic; Rich DD ran the Union's entertainments once upon a time, but he's most famous for his amazing mixing skills. By that, we mean his ability to mix a 70's dress code with timeless huge collars. Join Rich in the Waterhole again this year for the best mix of party tunes you've ever boogied to.
  • The Chancers
The "most inspired unsigned band" in the UK according to Rizla, The Chancers play Jeckyll to Soul Lounge's Hyde, playing their own soulful, bluesy blend of laid back audio masterpieces.

Out in the sunshine (Weather permitting!)

  • The University Big Band
Playing a wide range of music, from Jazz Standards through Soul, Funk, Samba, Cheese and just about everything in between, the Uni Big Band are a sight - and sound - to behold.
  • The Steel Band
Adding a traditional Caribbean flavour to the evening, the steel band will be adding a summer soundtrack to sunset at the 2007 Grad Ball.
