School of Rock

The Union's very own School of Rock, with front man Kevin Waterfield, will once again be setting the standard for the evening's entertainment in The Waterhole.

School of Rock at VIP Awards Dinner 2006

The School of Rock society was established by Kevin Waterfield in 2006 with the goal of bringing together all those people who enjoy playing music regardless of ability.

Throughout the year the music created has been showcased at acoustic nights, balls and carnivals in and around the university, giving individuals confidence and the ability to grow musically.

Jackrabbit was the first band to emerge from the society and consists of William Keel-Stocker (Piano and Lead Vocals) who recently qualified for the finals of South Coast Idol.

John Mason (Bass) a long standing member of the big band and local music teacher. Kevin Waterfield (Guitar) Founder of the School of Rock and Local drum teacher and Session musician Russ (Drums).

The band has played at the annual VIP Ball for the last two years, as well as the Freshers' Ball this year, and are back by popular demand covering anything from The Blues Brothers to the Arctic Monkeys and the Killers.

This entertaining band will make you dance the night away into the early hours of the morning, so don't miss them, and make sure you don't miss them playing in the Waterhole!
