Hoosiers DJ Set
The Hoosiers (formerly known as The Hoosier Complex) are an English pop-rock/indie pop/odd pop band from the UK and Sweden. The band members are Irwin Sparkes (lead vocals, guitar), Martin Skarendahl (bass and guitar for acoustic performances) and Alphonso Sharland (drums). Their first single "Worried About Ray" reached number 5 on the UK Singles Chart in July 2007. They released their debut album, The Trick to Life, in October 2007.
Krafty Kuts
Krafty Kuts, can truly be recognised as a member of the breakbeat elite. And along with other high profile figures such as Adam Freeland, Rennie Pilgrem, Freq Nasty and the Plump DJs, Krafty Kuts has been instrumental in pushing the breakbeat sound to a world-wide audience.
At present, Krafty Kuts is enjoying success in many areas. To date, his music has been used for a Coca-Cola advert, Playstation 2 and PS3 games and for Guy Ritchie’s film ‘Mean Machine’. His club night Supercharged, co-promoted with fellow breakbeat crusader Skool Of Thought, is still rammed every week and is widely regarded by many of the scenes big players as having been instrumental in pushing the breakbeat sound to a wider audience.
Sumo DJ's
Local Legend the Albino Monkey will be hosting the whole evening in CO2, playing some blinding sets with his band of merry SUMO Djs.
Sumo is a party night based in Portsmouth but also has ventured to London, Lisbon and Barcelona. We try and change the theme of the party each time. In the last 18 months Sumo has had parties in Country houses, boats, bars and clubs in Barcelona, Austria, Lisbon, London and our beloved Pompey.

Big Band
When in full swing, this 30 piece big band showcases the talent of its saxophone, trombone, trumpet and rhythm sections as well as calling on the excellent vocal talents of our group of singers.
The band is in constant demand for events in Portsmouth and the surrounding area and regularly plays at Student Union events such as the Freshers, Christmas, and Graduation Balls.
Other performances include concerts at the New Theatre Royal in Portsmouth and gigs at local large pubs including the Registry and Fleet.
Jack Rabbit
Jackrabbit was the first band to emerge from our very own, homegrown School of Rock society and consists of William Keel-Stocker (Piano and Lead Vocals) who recently qualified for the finals of South Coast Idol.
John Mason (Bass) a long standing member of the big band and local music teacher. Kevin Waterfield (Guitar) Founder of the School of Rock and Local drum teacher and Session musician Russ (Drums).The band has played at the annual VIP Ball for the last two years, as well as the Freshers' Ball this year, and are back by popular demand covering anything from The Blues Brothers to the Arctic Monkeys and the Killers.
This entertaining band will make you dance the night away into the early hours of the morning, so don't miss them, and make sure you don't miss them playing in the Lux!

Richard Dore-Dennis
A former Union manager and international catwalk supermodel, Rich is better known for his presence in the DJ booth dressed in his inimitable 70s style.
Rich left the Union 2 years ago, so his presence on the decks in the Waterhole will definitely be a welcome return to the elder statesman of eclectic.
Rich is known for his finely tuned sense of musical fun and can be relied on to drop just the right gem from years gone by to make you wiggle your bits in ways you normally wouldn't!
