What is the JobShop?

The Job Shop is the student employment service provided for University of Portsmouth students. The service aims to link students with employers by advertising their employment vacancies. The role of the Job Shop is to enable students to gain information about part-time and vacation employment opportunities. The University of Portsmouth Students' Union was one of the first Students' Unions in the country to establish an on-site Job Shop.

Who do we advertise?

The majority of vacancies we advertise are with employers in Portsmouth and the local area, but JobShop also handles all Students' Union Vacancies. The JobShop also offers tips on specific job hunting, advice on your employment rights, tax, National Insurance etc.

On the right of the page, underneath the menu options, you will see a box called "JobShop weekly e-mails":
