Important News about Glastonbury Festival!

Last updated: Mon 19th Feb 2007 at 10:17

glasto_200pxIf you are thinking about going to the Glastonbury festival this year then please read on about ticketing. They have changed the way you get tickets this year and if you don't register by Wednesday 28th February you will not be able to attend!

As part of Glastonbury Festivals' continuing campaign to combat touting, pre-sales registration is being introduced this year.

Everyone wanting to buy a ticket for the 2007 Festival will first have to register. This means supplying your personal details and a passport standard photo.

Each ticket sold will feature a photograph of the person in whose name it is registered and will be non-transferable.
Registration DOES NOT reserve or guarantee you a ticket. You will still need to go through the sales procedure on April 1 to purchase tickets.

"It’s a much fairer system," says Michael Eavis. "It means unscrupulous people won't be able to sell their tickets on for a profit. The people who buy the tickets on April 1 will be the people who are actually coming to the festival. I assure you that your details will not be used for any other purpose"

You can register from 8am on Thursday February 1 2007 until midnight on Wednesday February 28 2007 in a number of ways.
