Are you currently working part-time? Are you aware that an employer must pay you at least the National Minimum wage?
The three levels of minimum wage from 1st October 2007 are:
- 22+ years - £5.52 per hour
- 18-21 years - £4.60 per hour
- Under 18s - £3.40 per hour
Most employers pay at least the national minimum wage, but if you’re not sure or have any questions, check your pay slip as your hourly pay rate will be written there.
