Continuing students must reapply for their funding each year, so make sure you apply for your student funding in plenty of time.

If you are a continuing student - i.e. you will be returning to study next year - then you should have received a letter from Student Finance Direct reminding you to reapply for funding.

You can either apply online at the student finance website, or request an application form from your Local Education Authority.

The deadlines to guarantee your funding is in place for the start of next academic year are:

  • 25th April for students requesting non-means tested support, and...
  • 23rd May for students requesting means tested support

If you are a full-time Undergraduate or PGCE student your Tuition Fees for the academic year 2008/09 will be £3,145 and not £3,070, because tuition fees rise in line with inflation each year.

If you would like any help or advice regarding reapplying for your loan, you can drop in to the student finance centre in room 2.12 at the Nuffield Centre between 2pm and 5pm on Wednesday 2nd, Wednesday 16th, or Wednesday 30th April.

For opening hours, map and directions, and contact details for the student finance centre, please see the links on the right of this article.
