Women’s Lacrosse 2 Vs 25 Royal Holloway
Last updated: Thu 13th Dec 2007 at 13:31
Portsmouth succumbed to their heaviest defeat of the season on Wednesday at the hands of Royal Holloway. The game had promise beforehand, with Portsmouth able to field an almost full strength team, including subs for one of the first times this season.
The game started at a fast pace and although Holloway took the lead early in the first quarter, the girls responded through Dominique Shaw. Pompey struggled, in vain, to get a foothold on the game.
Although possession seemed fairly even during parts of the game, Holloway ladies were simply more ruthless when it came to taking their chances.
