The Union's Social:Life survey canvasses opinions
A survey on students' opinions of the Union's entertainments has been published to help the Union's trading company provide the best service over the next year.
The anonymous survey, which was commissioned by the Union, has been written to get students thinking about the things that attract them to use the Union's wide range of services and facilities.
The survey's launch coincides with the start of the academic year to encourage both new students to provide their first impressions of the building, as well as providing an opportunity for returning members to voice their opinions.
Lux has been used in the past for a wide range of student activities, both as a night-time entertainments venue, and for a wide variety of other events including fashion shows, Diwali celebrations, boxing tournaments and more.
To ensure the University's largest and most versatile space continues to develop as a versatile and attractive entertainments venue for the use of students, key Union and University staff meet regularly to direct the venue's future.
The Union's buildings, opened in 2002, drew widespread acclaim for its modern design and entertainment venues Waterhole, Lux and CO2.
At the time of opening, Lux was widely claimed to have been the largest entertainments venue on the South Coast, and the Union is still the largest capacity licensed venue in Portsmouth.
