To support the Union's commitment to good news and sports coverage this coming year, we are launching a new fortnightly newspaper to provide a wider range of news to University students.

The newspaper, which is currently un-titled, will boost the coverage of club and society news from around 500 copies per issue, to 2,000. This will provide much greater coverage of student-led news across campus, and across the city.

The newspaper will feature student-led news and reviews, information on what's happening at the Union, and - most importantly for fans of Purple Wednesdays - a proper sports club news section.

The paper will also feature articles by guest columnists and, as with anything and everything the Students' Union does, it's student-led, so if you would like the chance to write, design, proof-read, or help us lay out the paper, or do any one of the many other jobs on offer, please join our writers and designers Facebook groups, linked on the right.

Alternatively, you can leave your name, a contact email address or telephone number, and what kind of area you're most interested in being a part of, in the comments box below (we won't publish your message).
