Netball 1sts: here's to winning a few more matches. Best of British!

This heading has a double meaning! This week those of you who came to Union Council would have been made aware of the reduced Union opening hours and how this might affect you as students - word is spreading around the University, and you've been telling us your thoughts online.

The other meaning to this headline is that in 2010 the government want to raise the cap on tuition fees. As freshers will be aware, tuition fees are £3,000 per year. With the lifting of the cap, universities will be able to charge students what they want! So help make a difference to future students this Sunday. On a lighter note, this week’s Team of the Week are the newly promoted Netball 1sts. They have actually managed to win a game in their league 1A, where as in the past they had failed to win a single game! Keep it up ladies, and remember fresher netballers, you will explode after Christmas!
