Dean Seville to represent England at Petanque

After Holly Keats recent success we are pleased to announce another individual of UPSU’s Athletic Union once again shows how successful our members can be. Dean Seville has been picked to represent England in the Petanque men’s world championships in Izmir, Turkey in October.

His selection comes to no surprise when considering what he has already achieved in the sport. His accolades include winning the national triples championship, winning the national singles, doubles and mixed and has qualified to enter into the national finals in the Czech Republic at the end of August.

For those of you who don’t know, Petanque is a form of boles where metal balls are thrown as close as possible to a wooden ‘jack’ and is yet to be a club established within the Athletic Union or UPSU’s Societies.
