Motions at April's Union Council will include Fair Trade clothing, a Multi-Faith Prayer space, and fairer access for dance-based societies in the Nuffield Centre.
The Fair Trade clothing motion calls for the UPSU - the Union's charity which runs the student support services including clubs, societies and volunteering - to provide exclusively Fair Trade-certified clothing, including the Copy Shop's University-branded hooded tops.
The Multi-Faith Prayer Space motion aims to commit the Union to public action towards the University to campaign for an out-of-hours prayer facility on campus.
The Dance Societies motion seeks to redress an alleged imbalance between the costs of hire for dance clubs and dance societies at the Nuffield Sports Centre.
You can download these motions, and past Union Council meeting minutes and agendas, from the Union Council Documents Archive.
