Your UPSU.net membership and benefits

If you have an NUS card, you have an account on UPSU.net, which entitles you to a few benefits which can make your time at University more enjoyable and help you to get your voice heard, including:
  • access to the JobShop job vacancies listings (more).
  • access to post on the discussion forums (more).
  • your own public profile (more).
  • your own diary or "weblog" (more).

How to sign in

Simply enter your sign-in name and password in the sign-in box on the UPSU.net homepage . If you try to access a restricted area of the site when you're not signed in, you will be asked to type in your sign-in name and password.

More help:

Keeping your profile up to date

Some parts of your profile need to be kept up to date in case we need to get in touch with you, including your e-mail address, telephone number, and address information.

Because your NUS card is used as identification to let you into the Union, your date of birth is also important - please make sure it is correct as you may be refused access to the Union if this information is wrong!

Other information on your profile is "public" information and can be seen by anyone who looks at your profile or diary. This information can also be changed in your profile; the legend at the bottom of your profile page explains what is public and what is provate information.

Looking after your personal information

Please don't write your password down, and don't share your HEMIS or NUS numbers with anyone else; we use this information to help identify you when you need to talk to us about your NUS membership.

We don't share your information with anyone else, and we don't sell it either - your privacy is important to us. For more information, please read our privacy policy .

Why we need a valid e-mail address from you

When you sign up for your NUS card, we send a confirmation e-mail out to your e-mail address so we can confirm your account is active. We do this because we occasionally need to send important information out to you, and e-mail is the quickest and most confidential way of contacting you.

Again, we won't give your e-mail address to third parties and we won't send you unsolicited mail not connected to the Union.
