Your statement must include the following:
Titled: Statement of appeal against permanent exclusion
A committee of 3 or more Governors, who don’t have a direct interest in your case is formed. This committee will then consider all of the evidence. If they need additional information, they will arrange for an enquiry panel to be set up, so questions can be asked to you. The panel will communicate their findings to the clerk of Governors.
Once the clerk has heard from the panel, the clerk will then issue an ‘Appeal decision notice’. This notice will outline the findings of the investigation. You will receive notice of this directly from the clerk of Governors. The decision of the appeal committee in final.
Note: there is no time limit for this process to be dealt with. The University will however deal with any matter as quickly as they can.
