Course Representatives

Welcome to the course reps pages of upsu.net, these pages will help you find out about the course rep system, how to get in contact with your course rep and how to raise issues for course reps and the VP Academic Affairs to work on. Use the links to find out more about reps and how they can be effective. Reps themselves can download resources and find out all the dates for council and training.

Course reps:

» Are the people you can go to if you have issues or concerns about your course.

» Are members, and sometimes chairs, of many committees that allow them to channel students’ feedback and ideas in an effective way.

» Actively and regularly seek students’ opinions on all aspects of their course, including Library, IT, teaching, tutors and assessments.

» Receive training from the Students’ Union that enables them to deal with your issues or point you in the right direction to receive support and guidance.

» Work as a team with course reps from other year groups to ensure the voice of students is the strongest, loudest and is heard.

» Are fully supported by the Students’ Union and their course leaders.

Involving students in decisions that affect the operation and the future development of their courses is valued really highly by both the University and the Students’ Union. So course reps are a vital link between students and academic staff.
