Course Representatives

Course Representatives are students, chosen by their fellow students, on their course and on the same year, to raise student issues at department and University-wide level.

Steve Topazio, President says "As a previous Course Rep and chair the course rep executive committee I know first hand just how an important job course reps do. Course Reps are the most important volunteers at the Students Union and are vital to communication between students and the Union and University. If it wasn't for course reps then it would be very difficult for students to voice their opinions and concerns effectively."

Course reps take part in the departmental Student Staff Consultative Committee (SSCC) meetings to raise students’ issues on a departmental level. Additionally they take part in the Course Rep Council meetings which are co-ordinated by Oliver Styles, the Students’ Union Education and Representation Officer and the course rep executive committee. Additionally course reps receive support and training from the Students’ Union.
