Democratically led by our members, UPSU aims to make a positive impact of every Portsmouth student.

The Union is a democratic organisation run by Students for Students. The Union is run and operated democratically by students and everyone has an equal say.

So, we've said that the Union is run by students, but what does that really mean? Well, it's pretty simple; everything we do at the Union is democratic. From big events such as elections, down to the smaller standing committees, representing students in every aspect of what we do.

As UPSU is a charity we also have a Trustee Board which reviews and monitors the strategic direction of UPSU and ensures the Students' Union is spending money in furtherance of its objects.
