President and VP Sports candidates take part in Question Time

The first of our Question Time events took place in Eldon Building on Tuesday the 20th of February. Our candidates for the roles of President and VP Sports were quizzed about a range of issues important to students.

Students had their chance to put questions to the candidates running for the roles of President and VP Sports at the first of our Question Time events today.

All six VP Sports candidates attended the event and were asked a series of pre-submitted questions before receiving questions from the audience.

VP Sports candidates were asked a range of questions from how they would develop non-British University College Sport (BUCS) teams to their plans for achieving a more inclusive Athletic Union.

Of the eight Presidential candidates, seven attended the event and were asked a series of pre-submitted questions before receiving questions from the audience.

Questions to those running for President covered a broad range of subjects including; students' reputation in the community, the university's relationship with students and their thoughts on the Union's affiliation with the National Union of Students (NUS).

The audience then had the opportunity to put their questions to the candidates and speak to them after the event.

Watch a live stream of the event below.

Voting is set to open at 10am on Monday the 26th of February and closes at 4pm on Thursday the 1st of March.
