Sabbatical Officers cheer on Portsmouth Football Club in opening match

The Union's Sabbatical Officer (Sabb) team attended Portsmouth Football Club's (FC) first match of the season last Saturday.

The Sabb's attended the match to show their support of the University's two-year partnership with Portsmouth FC, which was agreed last August.

Welcomed by the Club and staff, the Sabbs enjoyed a stadium tour before the match where they met current players and learnt about the history of the Club.

"We fully support the University's new partnership with the club and know students will hugely benefit from it over the coming years."

Not only does the partnership help to strengthen the University's ties with the community, but it also provides great benefits to students and staff.
