Do one thing

Staying sustainble

Small changes in your every day life can make a big impact in being more sustainable. Join us on Tuesday 10th December in the Union to find out more.

Have you been thinking about revamping your wardrobe, but are worried about the cost and the impact of textile waste on the environment? Or have you got left-over food before the Christmas break that you can't use, but don't want to waste.

Your VP Welfare and Community, Hayley, has created the Do One Thing event to help.

Do One Thing will be held at the Waterhole Space in the Union Building on Tuesday 10th December between 12pm - 4pm. The event will have a clothes swap, food bank collection and distribution alongside various stalls where you can learn more about small switches you can make in your daily life to become more sustainable.

There will also be the opportunity to get 20% off at the Pitstop Cafe, located on the ground floor of the Union building on, on the day which will be full of fresh vegetarian options to try.

So bring along your unwanted long shelf-life food, pre-loved clothes, take what you need and do one thing.

Don't forget to tag @portsmouthsu in your pictures of your sustainability tips in action, we'd love to see what you do #UPSU1Thing.
