I hate that when you grow up as a girl you’re given dolls to play with and boys are given cars. As a girl you dress up as a princess and as a boy you’re told to be tough. That’s one of the reasons why even now when I tell people I play rugby, they’re like ‘you play rugby, but you’re a girl?’. What does it matter? I think as a generation we’re starting to flip that on it’s head. Playing sports like American Football and Rugby teaches girls that you can be strong, you can be tough.
